It is the aim of Woodlands is to provide an environment that all residents can regards as their home. To continue to offer care that is to the highest standard and is tailored to meet individuals needs with specific wishes and choices (these choices will be respected and honored at all times). We plan our care around the resident following current research and guidelines and best practice. The residents family will be involved in the planning of care and encouraged to have their say in planned meetings and reviews of care.
Woodlands will provide care that is non-discriminatory. Our residents will be treated with respect at all times regardless of age, sex, race, gender orientation or religious beliefs. We believe it is each individual right to have the following: right of choice, dignity, respect, privacy and all their human rights maintained and personal freedom to pursue their aspirations. We acknowledge the right to worship their own faith and every assistance will be given to make this possible (St Columba’s Church visit monthly and provide communion for whoever is interested). We believe that living in Woodlands should be no different to living in your own home and we strive to create a home, where, we provide comfort, safety and security, the resident can be the individual, that he/she has always been in a really friendly atmosphere (which we pride ourselves on).
